NDEP Ideology

NDEP is a party established on the ideological foundations of LIBERAL DEMOCRACY

Our ideology is built on the guiding principles of Equality, the rule of law, justice, peace, respect for human dignity and rights and, national cohesion.

As liberal democrats, we aim at establishing a democratic, constitutional, just and accountable Government of Kenya founded upon the national values and principles of governance as enshrined in the constitution of republic of Kenya, at the same time protecting the Constitution of Kenya with a view to building a democratic, united and prosperous nation

In addition, NDEP aspires to be a leading force in transforming Kenya into a democratic, prosperous and united nation, and defending the hard fought democratic gains of the Kenyan people and further deepen the democratic culture, institutions and experiences in all spheres of Kenyan society, as we fight for social justice and equity, and to eliminate inequalities, hence establishing a fair and just leadership in the governance of Kenya devoid of corruption, nepotism and all forms of discrimination.

We shall also endeavor in participating in the construction of a united Kenya imbued with Uzalendo (patriotism), and promotion of national development, anchored on the socio-economic needs and interests of Wananchi (Citizens).

Towards the promotion of representation by all groups, we aim at supporting and advancing the cause of women’s emancipation and empowerment and to ensure that gendered approach informs all of NDEP’s policies and practices, as we also promote and champion the fight for youth empowerment and ensure that Kenyan youth are at the Centre of national development initiatives.

Through our liberal democratic principles and practices, we will defend the rights of all Kenyans, paying special attention to the rights of women, youth, children, persons with disabilities, and the rights of cultural, ethnic, racial and religious minorities and the marginalized communities and groups.

We will also defend the natural environment by promoting conservation, campaigning against pollution, promoting safe and healthy alternatives in energy and industrial processes; and to
contribute in the efforts of stemming environmental degradation and in ameliorating the consequences of such degradation.
